Diary of a dieter - or If I only knew then what I know today
I am not one of those naturally gifted thin people and I have obsessed over my weight since I was in college. I had to to get from my natural 135 down to 123 for the wrestling team. I did so by eating some really extreme awful stuff like Knox unflavored gelatin for pure protein and the rigors of training for wrestling.
After college I have always tried to stay in shape and avoid overeating but time and genetics were not on my side and I had the usual gain of one pound a year.
I am a high stress executive and about 10 years ago, when we were going public, the life insurance examiner pronounced that I had high blood pressure. So I went on the BP meds and Atkins to lose weight.
About 5 years ago I looked in the mirror at 170 lbs, didn't like being a life support system for a stomach, and buying size 36 pants, and so the wife and I joined Weight Watchers. The support system was very valuable as it kept me on the program defying my daily hunger, on their frozen dinners and I succeeded in losing 10 pounds.
Last year the yo-yo struck again and I found myself in size 38's at 180 pounds. Worst of all my BP meds were no longer effective and so the doctor put me on a one-two punch consisting of an Ace inhibitor and a Calcium Channel blocker. In retaliation I joined a gym, got the beach body exercise video and started using Physique Training on-line including an excellent food analyzer. However I found that the Calcium Channel blocker was diabolically working against my ability to lose weight and get off the meds. The fix was in! It slowed my heart rate down from my normal 62 to about 55 but worse yet it stopped my from attaining the 80 beats/min required to achieve aerobic exercise. I got off the treadmill at maybe 64. I renounced sugar, white flour, and worked my weight down to 173, back to 36 pants but still 3 pounds over where I started with weight watchers. The up swing of the yo-yo.
The wife and I joined Nutrisystems, which totally controlled our portions, introduced 2 servings of fruit and 5 of veggies per day but was mostly processed food. I ate 6 times a day, wasn't hungry. I did notice I was out of energy after lunch and really needed a nap, due to the "balanced" meals. The weight started coming off and I announced my goal of getting down to 155 lbs which was equivalent to a body mass index of 25, the upper limit of "normal". This actually worked very well for a while but after about three months losing a pound a week I ran into a wall and could not get passed 162. I was stuck at 162 for over a month. At least I was now wearing size 34 pants.
Then one Sunday hearing Raymond Francis on the radio I ordered "Never be Sick Again" and after reading it I made a commitment to get off my meds. To help, I ordered "Never be Fat Again". The first day I started reading it, I blasted through the 162 barrier and after a week of reading and making changes, I was down 4 pounds!
Breakfast is now whole grain cereal and 2 servings of fruit. Lunch is 5 servings of raw vegetables, ( had to get a bigger salad bowl) 80% organic, 1/4 Melon and 1/2 avocado, followed by some cooked beans for protein. Snack includes and apple or pear. Dinner is a multi-veggie salad, some cooked vegetables and some animal protein.I noticed I am no longer tired after meals. I got a rebounder and added 15 minutes of rebounding to give me two exercise sessions a day. I have shifted to alkaline producing foods and am normally well over 7 in the morning. I added Barlean's flax oil and Kyolic Garlic to my already strong nutrition regimen. After the first week my BP was down so I cut out 50% (one pill) of the Ace Inhibitor. The next Saturday I forgot to take the CC blocker and it didn’t seem to matter.
Sunday was the big day. Skipped the cc blocker again. My routine is that I do exercise every day but Sunday. Sunday involves mowing the back & front lawns which is about all the exercise I can handle for the day. Sunday morning I weighed myself and had hit the magic goal of 155 that was so out of reach before. I went to the closet and put on the size 32 pants I had been saving for this special occasion. They Fit! I raced through the lawn mowing and thought just for fun I would do the treadmill. Only this day I upped my running portion by 50%. No problem! and after the exercise my pulse was at 78 where it should be which means I had achieved the aerobic 80 beats/min at last!
So where to from here? While I am 75% down on the meds, I need to take away that last pill. I am not sure what weight my body will decide is "normal" for me, but it probably will be five or ten pounds less than I am now. I have ordered the Beyond Health rebounder to give my joints a break. I have also scheduled treatment with my dentist to get rid of my Mercury fillings, take care of a couple of abscesses and treat my periodontal inflammation. My new teeth will help me chew all those raw vegetables better.
I am glad this posting is anonymous. If the government found out I was 10 years younger they would take away my Medicare Card.!

Dear Beyond Health,
I have been taking your supplements since December 2006, including your multi vitamin/mineral, vitamin C, biozyme, Pro-Gest, Acetyl L-Carnitine, EFAs, Cellular Detox, Cellular Repair, Mg+, Choline Citrate, and Co Q-10. Before taking them, I was often confused, depressed, had problems going and staying asleep – no energy whatsoever, poor digestion, and hives. I have been taking the supplements since December. I have so much energy now. I garden, something that I wasn’t doing before. I have the energy and now love to be outside. I forgot to mention that I have allergies – sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes. Besides being happy, sleeping well now and going outside – I have little allergy attacks. I might sneeze once or twice – but that’s it. My digestion is also better than ever.
Besides the supplements, I have bee using the rebounder. Beyond Health has changed my life for the better! I have also lost 40 pounds. I still get a few hives – but not like before. I now have a positive attitude of gratitude. Thank you!

Hi!
I thought Raymond might enjoy hearing this bit of information.
Until about 3 - 4 years ago (during the big M change!), I had always been blessed with being thin. I grew up on a farm - we did not use chemicals and always loved and ate fresh veggies out of the garden, many meals in the summer were veggie only - there was so much of everything and my mother and I both loved our veggies and salad. During the hormonal fluctuations in recent years I began gaining weight, plus other typical issues. Using Natural Progesterone cream I was able to get this under control, until about 2 years ago. I started to get terrible food cravings - only at night. I have always been very conscientious about what I fed myself and family - fresh whole foods, organic for the most part - rarely processed food - never "sugar-free" stuff with poison aspartame - Stevia only. I had also read Raymond's book NBSA several years ago, so began to supplement with Perque products. As I said, about 1 - 2 years ago I started to gain weight - mostly in the belly, like my mother. Try as I might, reading practically every different diet book, i.e. Atkins, SouthBeach, Ann Gittleman, etc., nothing worked to stop the weight gain, then the cravings began - they were overwhelming - mostly sweets, sometimes salt. During this period until now, I have been under a HUGE amount of stress, oftentimes going to bed at 1 - 2 AM and many times lying in bed not sleeping a wink all night - knowing this was not good for me. Although I love and eat lots of fresh vegetables and salads, I had avoided legumes thinking they were "fattening"; however, once or twice a week I would add a starch - wild rice or potato - in very small amounts; however, eating 4 -5 ounces of meat/chicken/fish at each dinner meal and meat/eggs for breakfast and lunch. I also starting getting a bit lax in taking my supplements everyday, especially C. I have been at my wits end with the weight gain, the way I looked and felt even though I thought I was taking good care of myself.
I had pre-ordered Raymond's NBFA Book, because of his first book and his research makes all the sense to me, so was really looking forward to reading NBFA to see if this would work. I want to let you know, I have been about 15 pounds overweight (not a lot by today's standards, but unacceptable to mine) and just could not budge more than a pound or two off - UNTIL I put Raymond's program into place. It made all the sense in the world to me and even though I had tried using skincare products a couple of years ago that were chemical free (Dr. Hauschka), I did not like the way my skin looked even after 6 months use. After I was about 1/2 way through Raymond's book - I tossed all of my skin care and hair care products in the trash - went back to Dr. Hauschka, but this time - used all the products and not just some - shampoo, make-up etc. After reading Raymond's first book,we purchased a sauna - the allergy-free model, so I started to use that and also rebound, another item I have had since reading his first book - the good rebounder. I have not started writing in my journal, but have gotten one and will use it. I started cutting down and eliminating at some meals meat/fish protein, added more legumes (organic), lots of fresh organic veggies and salads, nuts, seeds, cut out eggs and cheese, the only dairy I ate and faithful to the supplements in less then 2 weeks I have lost 7 pounds and feel great. The fat is "melting" off. Another huge benefit - I don't get hungry and no longer have food cravings!!!!
What I really enjoyed about Raymond's book is that it breaks down in great detail what is going on and why this works. It is factual, easy to understand. Since I am really passionate about good health - without drugs/chemicals and allopathic doctors - I use chiropractic and 5-element acupuncture instead - I read a lot of information - books, internet, trying to weed through what may be valid, what not on good health naturally. Because, like Raymond, I do believe his philosophy/research is absolutely 100% correct - his latest book just took it to a new level!
Thank Raymond very much for me! It is great to feel like I look decent again instead of a bloated old so and so My skin is starting to look great!
P.S. - Since we live on a farm, which is organic, I am outside a lot - I never use sunscreen, filled with toxic chemicals, instead like to get a good dose of Vitamin D, then cover up with long sleeves, hat and long legged pants when outside working.
