Expiration to Manufacturing Dates

Since 2018 due to the changes in the rules within FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, we must change the manner with which we date products with the Beyond Health labels. Beyond Health has made the switch from printing "Expiration (EXP)” dates (also referred to as “Best Buy” dates) on bottles of Beyond Health vitamins and supplements to printing "Manufacture (MFG)" dates. The change was made to keep Beyond Health in compliance with the regulations set forth in the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The GMP guidelines for dietary supplements are more in line with pharmaceutical GMPs guidelines. To be 100% compliant with our industry’s new GMPs, we will be labeling our Beyond Health products with "Manufacture (MFG)" dates.

It is important to know that there has been no change in the products themselves unless otherwise specified. The new "Manufacture Date" printed on the labels represents the date upon which the product was produced. We will also continue to test and study our products to assure they will meet the expected shelf-life, which is 3 years for most products. To understand what shelf-life is; it means the length of time for which a product remains usable, fit for consumption, or saleable but shelf-life does not mean once the product is opened. Once a product is opened that product needs to be taken within the time-frame as the directions state (Example: If a product has 180 tablets in it and the directions state to take 2 tablets a day would mean that you should consume the product in full in 90 days). All Beyond Health products are produced by GMP-compliant manufacturers that meet specific standards for quality and potency. We require—and will continue to require—that our manufacturers develop our products to maintain their quality for the expected shelf-life.
