Description

This synergistic formula offers high dosage levels of key nutrients including antioxidants, herbs, vitamins, minerals, bioflavonoids, polyphenols, cofactors, and potentiating nutrients that support ocular tissues. These nutrients support the biological processes relating to the health of the eyes.

The potent, synergistic combination of antioxidants, including herbal antioxidants (e.g., lutein and zeaxanthin), alpha lipoid acid, and concentrated berry extracts offers a high total ORAC6.0 (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) value as well as the most potent Nrf2 activators. High ORAC6.0 value indicates the ability of Vision Plus to provide nutrients capable of effectively quenching the full range of damaging free radicals found in the body including 1) peroxyl, 2) hydroxyl, 3) peroxynitrite, 4) singlet oxygen, 5) superoxide anion, and 6) hypochlorite. The Nrf2 activators stimulate the body to produce its own antioxidants (such as superoxidedismutase, hemeoxygenase, and catalase). The supplement thereby protects delicate eye tissues both from aging and degenerative oxidative processes, as well as preserving the functional capabilities of healthy eyes by minimizing harmful effects related to unchecked free-radical activity in the human body (specifically within the eyes).

Vision Plus contains Bilberry Extract (standardized to >25% proanthocyanidins), Eyebright Extract, Taurine (USP grade), Lutein (from Marigold Flowers), Zeaxanthin (from Marigold Flowers), Standardized Fruit Blend® (high antioxidant powder from extracts of Grape, Cranberry, Pomegranate, Blueberry, Apple, Blackberry, Bilberry, Raspberry, and StrawBerry), VinCare® (whole grape extract), Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Zinc, Selenium, and Bioperine® (a patented black pepper fruit extract that enhances absorption of all ingredients). Vision Plus is contained in a capsule suitable for vegetarians (i.e., a veggie cap)
