Preventing Sports Injuries

. . .  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure Several years ago I found myself consulting with quite a number of professional ballet dancers and athletes. Word had gotten out that those who followed my advice weren't getting the injuries or infections that are so common among people who push their physical limits daily. Dancers and athletes need the same nutrition most of us do, just more of it. Heavy exercise depletes the body of antioxidants and the amino acid glutamine; minerals get depleted in sweat.
